Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes! We want to be able to give you our undivided attention. We offer weekday mornings, afternoons & evenings as well as Saturdays & Sundays.
When should I buy my dress?
For most brides this is around 12-18 months before your wedding. Don’t start to look before you are ready to buy—you could end up trying on far too many & becoming very confused. Also, you can’t count on a dress still being available months after you find it! Once you’ve found your dress you can enjoy thinking about bridesmaids, invitations, flowers, hair & makeup etc…….
How many guests should I bring?
Guests are welcome BUT our advice is just 1-3. We know its lovely to include others but its how YOU feel that matters most. Once you have chosen your dress, you are very welcome to come back with more guests, share a glass of bubbly & celebrate your choice with them. They’ll love your dress & enjoy the celebration!
How much do the dresses cost?
Prices range between £975 & £2250 but we always have 30-40 sample dresses available to buy ‘off the peg’, at half price! These are dresses that have been tried on in the shop, so you still get the fabulous quality of a designer dress but at half the price! Great if you are looking for a bargain or are a little bit last minute.
When I find my dress, how does the payment work?
If you choose a new dress to order we take a 50% deposit and the balance 4-6 months later when your dress comes into the store. An off the peg dress is usually paid for in full. However, we are aways happy to discuss payment plans for those who prefer to spread the cost.
Which underwear should I wear for my appointment?
Wear whatever you are comfortable with. Preferably nude pants & you’ll not need a bra but be comfortable! At this stage it really isn’t important.
What sizes do you have in store?
We have dresses ranging in size from 8-24 but available to order in sizes 4-32. We are experts with pins etc & we can show you very well how a dress that isn’t actually your size will fit once its been ordered in your size.
What if my dress size changes?
If time is on our side we can postpone confirmation of your required size but don’t worry we are experts in bridal wear and we can offer individual advice & support depending on your specific needs.
What about alterations?
Our seamstress has been altering wedding dresses for 30 years! She likes to see a bride 6-8 weeks before the wedding date so that she can achieve the best possible fit for you on the big day. The cost varies according to what is required but we are happy to give a quote when you place your order.
What about Bridesmaids dresses?
When you book an appointment for bridesmaids please just let us know how many to expect! We must be sure to have enough bubbly ready!!!
